Instagram Direct is an answer to photo messaging services like Snapchat, which have taken the world of social media by storm this year.
Unveiled just yesterday, the new messaging feature available for iOS and Android lets users send text, video and photo messages to each other privately.
The way it works, you take a picture and once you’ve finished editing it on Instagram, you can send it to up to 15 people, or just to one of your friends. Every conversation needs to start with a photo or a video then you can chat about it.
